Alex Owen is an experienced and approachable therapist who has been practicing TCM for over 20 years. Alex’s experience covers a broad array of traditional Chinese therapies. Over the years Alex has set up and run multiple clinics in Hertfordshire and London, he’s held a teaching post at Middlesex University’s acupuncture training clinic and helped establish the UK first full time maternity acupuncture service on the NHS. Alex holds TCM qualifications from both the UK and China (BSc and Bachelor of Medicine respectively). In his time in China he not only studied at Beijing Chinese Medicine University but also worked on placements at two of Beijing’s most prominent Chinese Medicine hospitals. Alex’s main specialisations are in pain conditions these include: sports injuries, chronic, long term pain conditions such as sciatica, back pain and chronic headaches such as migraines. Alex’s other specialisation is in women health with a broad knowledge from fertility issues, IVF support, menstrual problems and menopause.
